Volunteer to do mural wall prep work – Sept 29, 2022, 1:30 pm-4:30 pm
Volunteer to do mural painting prep work for Access Books Bay Area’s school library revitalization project at Franklin Elementary. Painting will be both indoors and outdoors. We will be prepping the walls for painting, and applying the base coat that will be the background for the new murals. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on as the paint we use does not wash out. Painting may be done on ladders or scaffolding.
Adults and teens age 15 and up can volunteer individually, but those under 14 must be accompanied with an adult volunteering beside them. All volunteers must show proof of full vaccination.
This volunteer work will improve the library at an underserved school, helping to make it into a more inviting and welcoming place where students want to spend time and read.
