Volunteer at Robert F. Kennedy Elementary – Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Help Access Books Bay Area to process brand new books and paint murals to revitalize the school library at Kennedy Elementary in San Jose. Book processing involves stamping, adhering bar code labels, alphabetizing, and organizing the books. The book processing will take place indoors. Painting will be both indoors and outdoors and will involve painting pre-traced murals alongside our staff muralist. Lunch will be provided around 11:30am. If you plan to paint, wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint on as the paint we use does not wash out.
Adults and teens 15 and up can volunteer individually, but those 14 and under must be accompanied with an adult volunteering beside them. If you are volunteering as a group, please sign up each person in your group individually.
