Kavitha Pendyala was born and raised in India but has been a Bay Area resident for almost 20 years. She attended Louisiana State University and UC Berkeley, earning an MBA from Haas School of Business. A mom of two readaholic kids, she currently works at Stanford University as an Assistant Director of Finance. Prior to Stanford, she worked in real estate finance for Equity Office, a Blackstone company. An avid reader, she also enjoys traveling and spending time with kids in her free time. Growing up, her favorite authors were Enid Blyton and Jane Austen among others. She believes reading is an essential skill for all children. Providing access to books that interest them will develop reading habits and open a world of opportunities for them. She is excited to contribute to a cause close to her heart by joining the Access Books Bay Area Board and serving as the Treasurer.
